Betelguese Bolo in Onyx
Beetles are a symbol of perseverance and strength. If you’ve ever seen one roll a dung ball 10x the size of itself up a hill, only to watch it roll back down again and then begin the cycle again, you’ll probably admire it’s determination too.
In Ancient Egypt, scarab beetles were a symbol of transformation and protection. Egyptians believed that the Sun God, Ra, rolled the sun across the sky every day and then into the underworld at sunset, only to renew it, again, at dawn the next day. So, the Scarab Beetle, completing its daily task, just like Ra, was held sacred and worn as a talisman of good luck and protection against evil. As Above, so below.
This little beetle is made of sterling silver and has a 14x10mm oval Black Onyx on it’s back. Onyx is also a talisman of strength and endurance and helps to dispel fear. It can help you work through and heal old emotional wounds that may be affecting you in the present and therefore help clear the way for you mentally to focus on your future.
The black cord of the bolo tie is microfibre, which looks and feels like suede but is vegan and cruelty-free, and is strong yet soft. The Bolo Tie is finished with sterling silver ends that chink together with a pleasing sound.
The Bolo Tie is unisex and can be worn over a shirt, or as a necklace.
