A new moon is a perfect time to make a change, to leave behind what no longer serves you and to call in some fresh, new energy. So, Kerry has pulled two cards for each element, one to guide you on what to release this lunation, and one to suggest changes to call in.

Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)
What to call in? The Chariot
Broaden your horizons and scope. Make those 2024 goals bigger, brighter, bolder. Think about travel, location, territory, and fresh landscape. Think about literal physical moves and emotional or intellectual ones. Uncharted territory is calling your name but your ticket there is PURPOSE. What do you actually want to do most? Let that dictate where you therefore need to go.
What to release? Judgement
Comparisons to others are so unhelpful, yet we all do it. Judging their show reels vs our own realities, it’s not a fair comparison. You can never truly see the sum of someone else’s talents, strengths, flaws, and life. Focus on you. Focus on your trajectory, life story, goals, challenges. Stop looking over there. The grass isn’t greener, you know. You will be more powerful when you turn your gaze inwards.
Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
What to call in? The Hierophant
A mentor, tutor, coach, or wise sounding board (or several!). You have ideas, questions, challenges, demands, and unanswered unresolved issues. You can’t solve it all by yourself in your own head. Get help, get people in! This is a more spiritual than practical endeavour (though there may be practical themes too), so look for the wise, shrewd, knowing, enlightened, and higher vibrating souls. We are not an island. We all need guidance.
What to release? Strength
Stop trying to hold it all together for other people (including yourself, actually). I know there’s never a ‘good time’ to cry / unleash / collapse / admit defeat… but those things are coming if you don’t gently, compassionately, and steadily start unburdening things you have taken on that are not truly yours to carry. Others will keep letting you take on their responsibilities. This will only get better when you say ‘no more’.
Water Signs (Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio)
What to call in? King of Cups
Could be a new lover (a fellow, older Water sign, someone who is incredibly charismatic, creative, loving and loyal). Could be a new BFF (same characteristics). Could be your own evolution to a more emotionally intelligent and compassionate version of yourself. Perhaps things unfolded over the festive season that gave you new insight into others’ (tangled, chaotic) lives and you’ve taken on a new appreciation for peace and contentment.
What to release? Three of Wands
The chaotic tail end of 2023 is behind you, so look ahead with more organised and focused eyes to 2024. Don’t drift. Don’t ‘wait and see’. This New Moon is a time to plan and get strategic about your career, wealth, home, and security. Take stock, look objectively, spot issues or opportunities, and create actionable plans to deal with them.
Air Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius)
What to call in? The Emperor
A self-centred and dominant outlook. For too long now you have succumbed to others needs, moods, and whims. You are, at heart, a people pleaser because you like nice vibes and easygoing environments. You compromise and cajole by default. Not this New Moon, Gem. Take back your power. Put your needs first. Say how you feel. Demand your space back. Be bossy. Ruffle feathers.
What to release? Ten of Coins
Don’t worry too much about the long game. You have been working really hard and laying down long-term plans and foundations for the future, but this is not the time to keep sowing. Just pause. Just let those demands ride for a month. You are recalibrating and what you think you want now might not be what you actually DO want come the end of this month. Chill.
