your september new moon tarotscopes the wild unknown

At each New Moon, or the Dark Moon, we are reminded that we are the masters of our destinies. We can choose to shed our skins and start anew at any time, but a New Moon lends you a hand to hold whilst you do it. Now is the time, this is the hour.

Kerry Ward from Tarot Bella (and Cosmopolitans resident tarot card slinger) has consulted the cards to bring your monthly 'scopes. Kerry offers her guidance on how to work with the energy you may experience in this new moon cycle and I (Clare, of Bonearrow, first of her name, mother of jewels) write your prescription for the perfect crystals to balance your energy.

If you love them, leave us a comment and don't forget to tell your friends!

The twelve signs of the zodiac are categorised into four groups of three signs, each ruled by a particular element. Find your element below to read your tarotscope:

Bonearrow Tarotscopes The 4 ElementsAir - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.
Earth - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn.
Fire - Aries, Leo, Sagittarius.
Water - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.

The signs ruled by each element are naturally compatible with each other, they ‘get’ each other and share similar values, attitudes and outlooks on life. Birds of a feather fly together. If your coven had a member from each zodiac sign, your other two element signs would be your best witches.

EARTH Signs - Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus

six of cups the wild unknown tarotSix of Cups

Process the past.

The Six of Cups sees you in a nostalgic mood, looking back on your life and reflecting on the highs and lows, the successes and failures, the good decisions and the regrets. It’s a mixed bag, as it is for all of us. Use this period of contemplation to process your feelings and emotions about the darker times and regrets. Extract a life lesson, a hard-won truth that you can use positively to shape your future. Life brings us lessons all the times, and a lesson is a lesson no matter how it comes to us, and these damn lessons never stop!
Examine your past relationships. Look at patterns, expectations, outcomes, losses. Are there any friendships or family ties that have been withered or broken, which could be rekindled? Winter brings rekindling energy, would you like to use it to mend a fractured bond?
Take a pause to call in on an ~old version~ of yourself. Say hi to him/her. S/he may have been wrong/stupid/careless/shameful… but thank him/her anyway. That person was doing their best and has got you to where you are now, in one piece. Be kind to your younger self.
And then, finally, consciously emerge from this Memory Lane walk… know what you have learnt and understood, and bank the wisdom. Time, now, to move on.

Why you need Onyx

One of the things Onyx does best is help you to let go. If you have past regrets that trouble you, ghosts of the past that haunt you or emotional baggage that still weighs you down, Onyx can help you cut ties with it all. Acknowledge it, learn from it but severe it and leave it in the past. Move forward with Onyx in your pocket and know that you are stronger and braver than the person you were in the past.

AIR Signs - Libra, Aquarius, Gemini

the fool the wild unknown tarotThe Fool

Positive change.

Self-discipline can be, let’s say, a 'theme' with you Air signs, because you overthink stuff, live in your own head (vs the Real World), and consequently make your own rules up as you go along, to suit whatever is happening. You have the mental flexibility to twist your actions into being ~right~, even when they’re not. But, deep down, you KNOW. And your conscience isn’t so easily bought off.
This New Moon, The Fool visits you to give you the courage, confidence and determination to turn a new leaf and make a new beginning which represents authentic positive change and growth. Doing what’s best for you 100%, all the way down to the bottom. The Fool is the tarot’s patron saint of new beginnings, and urges you to embark on this new journey with him. Stop dithering, making excuses, talking yourself in and out of this, diverting and deflecting the issue. Knuckle down, commit, make a plan, schedule it… and START. The hardest part about change is figuring out, and making, that first step, the rest is just resilience and persistence.
Discipline yourself to do this before the next Full Moon. Use The Fool and the Virgo New Moon energy to make a fresh start and clean up your act, and bring a positive change into your life.

Why you need Onyx

Air signs, I love you, but you need to know you are just as smart/strong/creative/brave as those people you admire for doing what you think you never could. Onyx is a strength giver, a worry easer and helps you to overcome fear, so if there's something you want to do, or be, let Onyx be your crystal cheerleader, lending you strength so you feel empowered to go ahead and be whatever you want to be.

WATER Signs - Scorpio, Pisces, Cancer

Knight of swords the wild unknown tarotKnight of Swords

Heal your anger.

Water signs, you are deeply emotional, intuitive and self-aware. You FEEL everything MORE, it’s like your skin is thinner than everyone else’s and, as such, wounds can cut you all the deeper, and take longer to heal.
Recognise a slow-healing emotional wound which still gives you pain. The Knight of Swords specifically points to pain in the guise of anger, which is a destructive and powerful emotion, and maybe one that you suppress or hide or have deflected into being about something else.
Take some time, alone or with a confidant, to talk about this. To look at the outbursts of anger and how it manifests, and then trace it back to a trigger, and then, deeper still, to possible root causes. To those old wounds which flare up when anyone touches a sore spot.
This process of consciously growing your self-awareness won’t heal things overnight, but it will activate a new surge of invigoration and recovery that surpasses what you’ve experienced this far.
You can heal fully. It’s time.

Why you need Onyx

Anger can often come from worry, fear or anxiety, and Onyx can help you work through all of these. If you need to work through some difficult feelings, or heal some old wounds, let Onyx lend you it's strength, until you feel the strength in your own bones. Also, Onyx is an energy transmuter so all that negative energy that comes up from opening these wounds, Onyx will assist in turning it into something that feels much more positive, so that, in time, you will too.

FIRE Signs - Sagittarius, Aries, Leo

the chariot the wild unknown tarotThe Chariot

What hasn’t killed you has made you stronger.

The Chariot shows that you’ve been through ~something~ this year, and it has moved you, changed you and you know things won’t ever be the same again. It’s like a before vs after, when you think back to 31st December 2019. The greatest life lesson from this? In times of hardship, cultivate yourself and you won’t lose your labour. And, boy, did you do that (albeit it’s a work in progress, and you recognise that).
The Chariot shows you not only powered through in the moment, but you have used the surges of chaotic energy / grief / anger / sadness to fuel changes in your own life, which have proven to be positive and life-affirming. You are, quite simply, in a different place now- maybe physically, but certainly emotionally, and maybe even spiritually. You have grown, you have strengthened, you have seen that life is short and precious, and you’re done with wasting it.
Fire signs, the road ahead is filled with possibility. Run to your future, because you’re on a successful and fulfilling pathway, and things will only get better!

Why you need Onyx

Onyx is the perfect stone for you right now fire signs, as it fortifies you with strength and courage, both psychically and emotionally. It is powerfully protective and so if you are feeling a little tender, a little battle worn, Onyx will not just soothe your soul but protect your energy like a cosy, black blanket. Really, Onyx is like the Chariot, reminding you that you are stronger than you know and the world really is a beautiful place if you ride forth with hope and love in your heart.
