Tomorrows New Moon in Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, marks the beginning of another turn of the wheel and as it's now officially spring, the cycle of life beginning again. Every New Moon, we are gifted an opportunity to set our intentions and check in with what we really want. It is the perfect time to rid yourself of the things you no longer need or want and invite in what nourishes your soul and sets you heart on fire, and this new moon feels extra potent.

This Aries New Moon, full of fiery boldness, is the perfect time to change your habits, cut that which is not serving you away and step forward onto the path that leads to your dreams.

As always, Kerry Ward from Tarot Bella (and Cosmopolitans resident tarot card slinger) has consulted the cards to bring your monthly 'scopes. Kerry offers her guidance on how to work with the energy you may experience in this new moon cycle and I (Clare, of Bonearrow, first of her name, mother of jewels) write your prescription for the perfect crystals to balance your energy.

If you love them, leave us a comment and don't forget to tell your friends!

The twelve signs of the zodiac are categorised into four groups of three signs, each ruled by a particular element. Find your element below to read your tarotscope:

Bonearrow Tarotscopes The 4 ElementsAir - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.
Earth - Taurus, Virgo, Capircorn.
Fire - Aries, Leo, Sagittarius.
Water - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.

The signs ruled by each element are naturally compatible with each other, they ‘get’ each other and share similar values, attitudes and outlooks on life. Birds of a feather fly together. If your coven had a member from each zodiac sign, your other two element signs would be your best witches.

FIRE Signs - Aries, Leo, Sagittarius

Fire signs Eight of Wands, Seven of Swords, Page of CoinsEight of Wands, Seven of Swords, Daughter of Pentacles

You’re up to something, as per, and the Eight of Wands heralds a month-long fiesta of invitations and opportunities, all flying in unexpectedly and rapidly from left-field sources. Be ready to say YES, and to say yes FAST.
The Page of Coins reassures that all this whirlwind activity is taking you in the right direction, propelling you down the path towards a long-held dream or ambition, so get stuck in! It might look chaotic or overwhelming to others, but you know it’s all part of the big ‘ole Master Plan (kinda’).
Speaking of others, the Seven of Swords advises you to keep your cards close to your chest as all this is kicking off. Not everyone has your best intentions at heart, not everyone is as squeaky-clean nice as you are. Some people get jealous, antsy, and would try to rain on your parade if you were tell them all your plans and activities.
So, don’t. Keep your own counsel.
And…
… HAVE FUN, my friend!

Tourmaline and citrineYour Crystal Prescription: Citrine and Tourmaline

Citrine is often called the success stone, inviting opportunity and abundance into your life, so if you are working on something, Citrine can help you realise your goal. I'm also prescribing you tourmaline to help keep any bad energy that may be directed at you at bay. If there are others that wish you ill, tourmaline will act as a guard dog at your gate.

EARTH Signs - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

Page of Cups, Nine of Wands, Judgment Earth signsDaughter of Cups, Nine of Wands, Judgement

You’re a pretty tough cookie (usually) but the Page of Cups has you feeling more emosh than usual this month. YUK. What’s WITH that? I know, I know… but tune in to these feelings because it’s your inner “sat nav” trying to nudge you in a new direction. What feels good, bad, wrong, right? Identify and label your emotions’ sources, and you’ll have the answers about what needs to leave, enter and remain in your life this spring.
Judgment is a powerful card about letting go of the old, welcoming in the new, and giving some things a second chance. You’re turning a page, and you must consciously decide what’s coming with you in your onwards story… and what is not. Your emotions already know, you just need to tune in.
The Nine of Wands reveals this process SEEMS harder than it’s actually going to be. Once you’ve identified your “in’s” and “out’s”, you’ll find the necessary events just seem to unfold, naturally.

Moonstone earth signsYour Crystal Prescription: Yikes Earth signs, you're not your usual grounded selves at all! Let's balance out those emotions (and maybe check in so you can understand where they're coming from) with Moonstone. Moonstone's soft, feminine energy, will help to soothe and calm you if you're feeling nervous or anxious of things to come. If you're not sure what's got you all in a spin, Moonstone can help you get to the bottom of your emotions and whilst bringing comfort and hope.

AIR Signs - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius

Aries new moon air sign tarotscopesFive of Swords, Four of Cups, Daughter of Swords

Fickle times, for the fickle Air signs, come with this new moon. The Five of Swords has you at odds with others, maybe even yourself, and feeling like enough is enough. It’s all getting a bit difficult, draining and demanding… And the Four of Cups sees you glossing over the good things, and rewards, in your life, so intently focussed are you on what’s going wrong. You’re missing out on the gems right under your nose. And, with all that conflicting energy, the Page of Swords has you retreating from, rather than leaning into, your problems.
Sigh.
Nothing is won (but much can be lost) when you sit on the side lines. Watching the “game” may feel safer and more comfortable (and you can issue scathing commentary, which you’re excellent at!) but you need to be ON the pitch to affect the outcome.
Decide where you need to make changes, cut losses, and move on. Then just do it. It’s not difficult, you’re making it worse by turning away. Get to it, sort it, and breathe a big sigh of relief come the NEXT new moon.

Black TourmalineYour Crystal Prescription: I'm gonna keep things simple with a prescription of tourmaline. If you need to cut ties and make changes, tourmaline will help you figure out what needs to go and help free up the mind space for you to do it. Super grounding and supportive, black tourmaline's slow low energy can bring you back to earth and help you feel more tethered and stable whilst helping transmute negative energies - even if they're coming from within.

WATER Signs- Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio

Water signs aries new moon bonearrowThe High Priestess, The Empress, Seven of Pentacles

A magical, mystical month ahead, my Water element friends… you can dive down, with The High Priestess, to your psyche’s deepest depths and enjoy a moonlit swim amongst your innermost feelings, intuitions and emotions… bliss… (for you anyways).
All this night-swimming is because your intuition and sharply tuned psychic voice is trying to tell you something. So far it has remained buried - perhaps only surfacing in unexplained, or unwelcome, emotional outbursts… but you’re going to get to the bottom of it.
The Empress and Seven of Coins asks you to take a bit of a “time out” from everyday life, as this process unfolds. Don’t make any big plans or decisions, don’t do anything drastic or permanent, don’t over-commit your time or energy elsewhere. Let life go on “pause” as you, via meditation / relaxation / rest / communing with nature / creative pursuits, tune in to that internal, powerful voice of yours.
What is its message? What are you going to discover? And what will you do as a result?

AquamarineYour Crystal Prescription: Aquamarine

Aquamarine is not only is a calming, tranquil, soothing crystal but it's great for helping you to reflect. A popular stone for prophets and shamans Aquamarine can help bring things otherwise unknown to the surface and aid in self-exploration. If you need some time out to ponder your way forward, Aquamarine makes a perfect crystal companion.
