Peridot crystal meaning, sunny happy positive vibes

The card I pulled for this month is The Sun. Even if we can't quite feel its warming rays because we're stuck indoors or the sky is too cloudy, we can still benefit from its bright energy. Some crystals have bright, positive, cheerful energy too and Peridot is exactly one of them.

The birthstone for August, Peridot is naturally a stone of the Sun. Uplifting and optimistic it drives away darkness, soothes your anxieties and relaxes your mind - just like sitting in sunshine.

So, Kerry (aka Tarot Bella) has taken The Sun card and drawn another to help you see where you might need some Peridot/Sun energy this lunar cycle.

Air - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.
Earth - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn.
Fire - Aries, Leo, Sagittarius.
Water - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.

FIRE SIGNS

The Sun + Seven of Cups

Play a new tune in your head.

Peridot & The Sun both drive away darkness and help you to overcome fear and sadness, letting go of negative thoughts or ideas. It’s time to ~spring clean~ your emotional landscape.

The Sun and the Seven of Cups show that your internal thoughts and imagination are working against you right now, catastrophising and presenting scenarios of the future (or over-amplified re-runs of the past) that scare you, and make you feel bad about yourself and your options. It’s all vapour, Fire signs. It’s all in your head. It’s not real, it’s an illusion, and the good news is that you are doing this to yourself… so you can STOP it, right? Right.
Place your peridot on your forehead and focus on your advantages, strengths, gifts and happy places. Fill your mind and heart with good imagery and feelings. From this platform of positivity, look ahead and think about what you want to plan to look forward to. Gradually draw yourself away from this, pointless and unnecessary, doom-ridden daydreams.

EARTH SIGNS

The Sun + Seven of Wands

Stop the comparisons.

Peridot & The Sun can relieve feelings of jealous, anger and resentment. Those 'toxic' emotions that plague our own self-esteem and connection with others. Let that light 'disinfect' any inner toxicity towards others this month, and refresh your outlook.

The Sun and the Seven of Wands show that you feel the twinges of rivalry and competition, and this can turn into envy or negative comparisons with others. You torture yourself sometimes, by comparing your flawed reality with others’ polished show reels. To what end? It’s all a projection, and we are ALL flawed anyway. Keep a piece of peridot on you all the time (in your clothes, on your desk, under your pillow, or wear as jewellery) to help these urges to compare fade away. Over the month, your peridot ally will help you see your own unique strengths and qualities clearly, and will prompt you to celebrate them.

AIR SIGNS

The Sun + Page of Swords

Make a positive decision.

Peridot & The Sun card represent the sun shining through the clouds, relaxing and soothing you, and shining a light on a negative tension to work through, like a muscle kink. Focus on where the pain is, and mentally massage it away, releasing you from its hold.

The Sun’s coupling with the Page of Swords hints that indecision and procrastination is your foe of the month. Careful consideration and deliberation is all well and good, but not when it turns into overthinking, self-sabotage and crippling doubt and paralysis. You have such an active mind that sometimes it works too hard on something – like now. So, identify a lingering, confusing situation that you have not taken overt action about. Focus on it, with your peridot, and decide on a single course of action. Sleep on it (once), make one revision (only if you didn’t sleep well) and execute your plan the next day. This is your homework!

WATER SIGNS

The Sun + Ten of Pentacles

Decluttering.

The Sun card is telling you to let go of tension, worries and negative energy that still clings to you from the past. If you’re looking for a stone to help you move forward and let go of that which does not serve you, Peridot can help you do just that.

The Sun and the Ten of Pentacles/Coins sees you in full 'planting season', ready to sow seeds for a fruitful and prosperous future, and part of that process is about preparing the ground. This involves removing the weeds, dead wood, poisons and debris. Mentally, you are sifting through the landscape and seeking to remove that which no longer serves you; a material and emotional spring clean. Hold a piece of peridot as you think through what you’d like to release from your life. Imagine a future without it. If it feels good, then do it. End the month feeling lighter and ready to forge ahead.
