Your October New Moon Tarotscopes

new moon in scorpio meaning the moon tarot cars

Oh, Scorpio New moon! This one, my loves, is going to be a doozy so buckle up! Scorpio is the sign of transformation so try not to resist any changes that are coming your way, instead see if you can embrace them, lean into them. However, with Uranus (the planet of the unexpected) opposite this New Moon and Mercury going retrograde on the 31st you might need to expect the unexpected and be prepared for your world to be rocked! This month I've prescribed 2 of the 4 elements Smoky Quartz, the best grounding crystal there is in my opinion, but I think everyone could use it's grounding energy in the coming weeks! Find your sign below to see what advice Kerry and I have for you this month.

Kerry Ward from Tarot Bella (and Cosmopolitans resident tarot card slinger) has consulted the cards to bring your monthly 'scopes. Kerry offers her guidance on how to work with the energy you may experience in this new moon cycle and I (Clare, of Bonearrow, first of her name, mother of jewels) write your prescription for the perfect crystals to balance your energy.

If you love them, leave us a comment and don't forget to tell your friends!

The twelve signs of the zodiac are categorised into four groups of three signs, each ruled by a particular element. Find your element below to read your tarotscope:

Bonearrow Tarotscopes The 4 ElementsAir - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.
Earth - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn.
Fire - Aries, Leo, Sagittarius.
Water - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.

The signs ruled by each element are naturally compatible with each other, they ‘get’ each other and share similar values, attitudes and outlooks on life. Birds of a feather fly together. If your coven had a member from each zodiac sign, your other two element signs would be your best witches.

WATER Signs - Scorpio, Pisces, Cancer

the moon tarot card meaning The Marigold Tarot The Moon, The Hermit, Two of Cups

A secret emerges.

Any good relationship is secret territory, an intimate ‘white space’ that only you and the other person understand and know. No one else can truly evaluate another’s relationship, and nor should they (though we all do, don’t we, like CONSTANTLY, but anyway…).
The Hermit and the Two of Cups show that truth in your life, and how much you value your private and intimate connections with those you love. It’s important to keep it that way and to nurture that bond because there’s something that someone wants to tell you - a secret of sorts. The Moon is a card about hidden knowledge, insights, lies, illusions… things we don’t know that we don’t know! Whatever emerges, keep it in the circle. Keep it close. Talk it through together, make sense of it as a pair, listen and absorb before you react. Protect the confidence, it is precious and fragile and if you break the spell by taking it ‘outside’ that intimacy will be damaged.
Keep your loved ones close, and listen to them keenly. Someone wants to share something with you.

Your Crystal Prescription: Smoky Quartz

I'm going to prescribe Smoky Quartz to you here, water babies. Smoky Quartz not only transmutes negative energy and emotions and turns them into positive energy but it can help you feel less stressed and more balanced. You need to keep your cool in this situation and Smoky Quartz will help you to stay grounded and less reactive.

FIRE Signs - Sagittarius, Aries, Leo

Plan your month ahead.

You need to be super-sharp right now about how you invest your resources and energy and, TBH, I’d advise a ‘less is more’ mindset. The Queen and Knight of Pentacles show you taking charge of your schedule and commitments in a much more structured and considered way. Planning (in advance and to a pre-determined criterion!) what you do, how often, when, and with whom. You are a spontaneous person, you go with the flow, you don’t like saying ‘no’… but you must.
The Page of Swords acknowledges your resistance to this approach. DON’T RESTRICT ME. But, my friend, if you don’t place any restrictions on yourself, you’re in danger of burning out, of missing out, of not deriving the satisfaction you SHOULD from the things you so badly want to do.
The key is to sit and think through the month ahead- what are the priorities, must-dos, ambitions and necessary tasks. Schedule them. See what’s left over, fill it with fun and leave LOTS of gaps (for ‘chill’). Then set out on your schedule, and be firm in sticking to it unless there’s a DAMN good reason. You might hate it initially, but in a week’s time you’ll wonder why you didn’t do this sooner.

Your Crystal Prescription: Smoky Quartz and Tiger's Eye

Smoky quartz can help to increase concentration, focus and bring clarity of mind. This grounding, stress-relieving stone will and dissolve anxiety help protect you against illogical thoughts and feelings that can arise when your mind is overwhelmed. A dose of Tiger's Eye, the all-seeing stone, can really help you here too by bringing clarity and good judgement. I prescribed you Tiger's Eye last month too fire signs so this crystal may really have some cosmic message for you!

EARTH Signs - Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo

earth signs tarotscope new moon in scorpioThree of Cups, Ace of Pentacles, Queen of Swords

A solo project.

The Queen of Swords is an independent character, she does her own thing, in her own way, and doesn’t ask for permission. This suggests you’re on a solo mission, in some respect, this month ahead. The Three of Cups reveals it’s a pleasurable activity (NOT work), so maybe a hobby, a course, a trip, a holiday, a home improvement, a lifestyle change or new skill… something which you simply enjoy doing and brings you satisfaction. What do you fancy doing?
The Ace of Pentacles gives you a timeline for this ‘project’- one year. So, this isn’t something immediate or overnight, it’s a ‘builder’. Maybe it takes a year to do, maybe to save up, maybe to see the results. Zoom in on something you do alone for yourself, that can start now but will take a while to complete, and that is simply about personal pleasure and fulfilment. And, then, make a start!

Your Crystal Prescription: Aventurine

Green Aventurine is a stone of new beginnings, the perfect crystal companion to take with you on a new journey. Aventurine is a very optimistic stone, so it's happy, positive energy will make you feel invigorated and yet calm throughout your project. It is also a stone of manifestation, so if there is something you want to kick off, Aventurine can help you find the energy, and the optimism, to begin.

AIR Signs - Aquarius, Gemini, Libra

Give freely.

An important life lesson lies in store this month ahead, and its theme is generosity. The Six of Pentacles is all about good karma, and building up your credit. When you give of your time, energy or resources freely, the Universe takes that and transforms it into another guise, to be served back to you down the line. This is a positive cycle or way of living, and the Six of Wands (the tarot’s ‘victory’ card) shows this is exactly the approach the Universe wants you to take right now. Give, treat, compliment, offer, help, guide, advise, listen, pay, support… none of it goes to waste, ALL of it is noted.
Furthermore, the presence of the Eight of Pentacles shows that this is all building up your reputation, standing and identity with those you know (and care for). You’ll learn more about your circle, as you open up to helping them with their goals, and they will feel closer to you too. There is nothing to be lost, and everything to be gained. So, give.

Your Crystal Prescription: Rose Quartz

The stone of love and giving, Rose Quartz, is my prescription for you this month air signs. Rose Quartz's gentle, soothing, loving energy is bound to make you feel kind and generous, not just to others but towards yourself as well. I love this crystal for setting off feelings of supportive love - a wonderful energy to put out into the world! Carry or wear some Rose Quartz with you this moon cycle and see how it makes you feel.

Is it greedy to take from two Tarotscopes? I’m a Leo by birth date but some have my date right on the cusp of Virgo & sometimes I relate much better to that. So I always read the two & can relate to both. Thanks x
